Year 13 students who are getting A*s in chemistry right now, What are some tips and things you did in year 12 that got you that A*?
I finished my a levels this year, I got 267/270 for chemistry OCR A exam board. I used AlleryChem, the OCR A textbook and Chemguide for notes. Physics&MathsTutor, chem Olympiad questions, Cambridge chemistry challenge questions (although these aren’t that important) and worsheets on the OCR A Chem website to practice problem solving and exam technique.

Wow how early did you do all these? Beginning of year 12?

I only used the textbook and Cambridge chemistry challenge questions nearing the end of year 12, I began using everything else during the winter break in Year 13. I recommend starting to use P&M Tutor, chemguide and Allery chemistry vids for the beginning of year 12 then later in the year you can start to incorporate Cambridge Chemistry Challenge questions and worksheets provided my your teachers or given out by the exam boards for exam technique practice. You should get an A* by generally working hard especially if you start from the beginning of Year 12 just make sure you leave ample time for your other subjects, that's where I went wrong.
