Bcu or aston biomedical science

Hi

Which university is best to do biomedical science and is anyone doing this degree.

How are they finding it?

I was thinking of diagnostic radiography.

Hello @Hsadhia,

Hope you are well. While I don’t have firsthand knowledge of biomedical science, I’m happy to share my experience as a final-year diagnostic radiography student at BCU.

Firstly, I really like BCU for its facilities and support. The location is also very convenient, as both main campuses are near Birmingham’s main train stations, making it super convenient to get around. Additionally, BCU offers various departments dedicated to helping students with employability, such as Careers+. As a final-year student, I’ve personally benefited from their guidance in preparing for life after uni. The academic development teams are also fantastic at providing extra support with assignments and other similar queries.

As I come to the end of my diagnostic radiography course, I can confidently say I made an excellent choice. The course is really engaging, with clinical placements, we get to apply our knowledge from lectures in actual healthcare settings practically. Working across different modalities makes the course exciting - it’s not just X-rays. I get hands-on experience with CT, ultrasound, and other imaging techniques. Radiographers are in high demand right now. This means you’ll likely find a job easily after graduating. The employment prospects are really promising, which is great news for anyone considering this career path.

If you have any questions about studying at BCU or my course experience, feel free to reach out!
