Have you not checked the entry requirements for the degrees?

Edinburgh:

A Levels: one from Biology or Human Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science or equivalent, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology at B. GCSEs: English at C or 4 and Mathematics at A or 7, or Mathematics and Physics both at B or 6, or Mathematics, Science plus Additional Science (or science double award) at BB or 66.

See: https://undergraduate.degrees.ed.ac.uk/?action=view&code=C802

KCL:
Required subjects: A-level (or equivalent) grade A in one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Psychology.
Preferred subjects: Biology and Mathematics
See: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/psychology-bsc

If anything, having biology and maths would actually be beneficial as opposed to not having them. Nevertheless, having either Maths, Biology, or Physics with any 2 other A Level subjects would meet any of the criteria above.

A better question is why didn't you picked Chemistry instead of English. That is so random.
