thats peak, bang out pmt maths topic questions starting from y1 content then do y2 wen ur comfortable. For econ, do past papers too and use econplusdal on yt for topics u dont understand. For physics good luck and as for getting bullied good luck with that too.

Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear you're going a tough time at school at the moment and that you feel unsupported.

I would start by saying that yes, improving from an A to an A* is achievable - just make sure to use your teachers - ask their advice on what they like to see in A* work, what you personally need to do to improve. However, that fact that you are currently achieving As speaks for itself - you are a very good and hardworking student, and I'd encourage you not to put too much pressure on yourself as all you can do is your best - and 4 As would still be a fab set of results.

I'm also sorry to hear you are experiencing bullying from peers. This is not okay and should not be ignored, especially if it is affecting your wellbeing and ability to study - is there a counsellor or a personal tutor you could reach out to at school? Please rest assured from experience, behaviour like this rarely lasts, and is furthermore extremely rare at university level.

Frank Sinatra once said that the best revenge is massive success. I'd encourage you to try to think to yourself that whenever being bullied makes you feel alone, the best thing you can do for yourself is to rise above it, throw yourself into your subjects and follow what you want to do with your future. Try to spend time with peers you get on well with.

Its normal to feel overwhelmed, year 13 is a tough year and no one expects you to sail through it! Just keep strong, do the best you can and keep going 🙂

I hope this helps a little bit - wishing you the best of luck with this year and please do reach out if you have any questions.

Hey I got 3 A* last year in a-levels (maths, further maths and history) and would say that it is definitely possible. At this point the work in year 13 is very overwhelming as in many schools you are expected to have covered all content by mocks and so its understandable you feel this level of stress. However you need to try to not distress yourself as doing so will only make it more likely for you to procrastinate your work and revision. For maths and further maths I would heavily recommend Bicen maths. Moreover, for further maths I would personally recommend using flashcards. Many of the further maths questions are often the same format but with different variables (e.g a differential equation question / infinite series in complex numbers) and so once you completely understand the method behind solving the question it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Let me know if you've got any questions
