failed a level practical

so i failed the iodine clock practical. 1st trial was fine but just took a bit long i think its cuz it wasnt stirred enough. 2nd one took longer than the 1st one idk what happened. 3rd one went fine. after the 2nd one, teacher said something wasn't done right clearly for first 2 trials, so im gonna be getting a fail for it.

is failing one practical going to fail my practical endorsement for chemistry?

It depends on your school's policy but no, it shouldn't.
For my Edexcel chemistry, I have to pass each of the marking criteria 3 times throughout all the practicals to pass the practical endorsement. For my OCR A biology it seems to be the same apart from there are a lot more marking criteria.
I'm in Year 13 and throughout Year 12, I actually missed quite a few practicals on trips etc. and my school told me it was fine as long as I still pass each marking criteria 3 times.

It defo shouldn't unless your school has some weird policy. When I did my A levels last year, we had like 40 practicals for chem and needed to pass about 12 of them to pass the endorsement. My college said they have literally never failed anyone. Physics was a similar case really. Try not to worry about it 🙂
