Alevel biology exam skills

Just did my first biology assessment for year 12 (Cells, aqa) , and all I can say was the questions were all stuff I haven't seen before...

I am particular bad at application questions, especially when I am under time pressure, making me even more anxious and doubting all my answers. (This actually happens to all my subjects when I struggle in an assessment)

I know all the knowledge from the textbook, sp I figured out lacking exam skills in some sort of way is an obstacle for me. I am a high achieving student aiming for A*, any tips would be appreciated.

ik this isn't the ideal thing to hear

but exam practise helps, so past paper questions

when revising, do past paper questions. no notes or anything. but dont set a time limit. get comfortable with doing questions first. then introduce the time limit gradually
