What qualification do I get if I drop out of my course while in my second year?

I passed first year of my biomedical science degree, and I am now in second year however I am considering dropping out so I was wondering what qualification I would get. I heard it is a certificate of higher achievement, and I would like to also know if the title of the qualification will be for biomedical science or something else. Thank you.

Thanks. The rules in this situation are detailed in their TAUGHT DEGREE REGULATIONS 2024/25, which says at paragraph 21(a):

(i) for the Certificate of Professional Practice, 30 credits at Level 4;
(ii) for the Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 40 credits at Level 4;
(iii) For the Advanced Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 80 credits at Level 4;
(iv) for the Certificate of Higher Education, 120 credits at Level 4;
(v) for the Higher National Certificate, 120 credits at Level 4;
(vi) for the Certificate of Professional Learning, 30 credits at Level 5;
(vii) for the Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 40 credits at Level 5;
(viii) Advanced Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 80 credits at Level 5
(ix) for the Certificate of Professional Development, 30 credits at Level 6;
(x) for the Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 40 credits at Level 6
(xi) for the Graduate Certificate, 60 credits at Level 6;
(xii) for the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education, 60 credits at Level 6 along with 60 practice based credits in the case of Primary Education, and 60 credits at Level 6 along with 60 practice based credits in the case of Secondary Education;
(xiii) for the Advanced Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 80 credits at Level 6
(xiv) for the Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 40 credits at Level 7
(xv) for the Postgraduate Certificate, 60 credits at Level 7;
(xvi) for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education, 60 credits at Level 7 along with 60 practice-based credits in the case of Primary Education, and 60 credits at Level 7 along with 60 practice-based credits in the case of Secondary Education.
(xvii) for the Advanced Certificate of Lifelong Learning, 80 credits at Level 7"

From what you'd written, I assume you have 120 credits at Level 4. Is that correct?

If so, you will likely receive a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) or a Higher National Certificate (HNC). It will have "Biomedical Science" in the title, but I can't confirm it's full and official name. It's likely to be "Biomedical Science: Certificate of Higher Education", or "Certificate of Higher Education in Biomedical Science".
