how to revise y11

i did terrible in my year 10 mocks
- spanish aqa 5 (foundation and now im doing higher)
- english lit aqa 6
- english language 5
- maths edexcel 2
- combined science U (was higher but im doing foundation now)
- geography 2
- RE 3
- sociology 3 (dont do it anymore bc i moved schools)

And ive just done a maths and english lang mock in october and got a 3 in engglish lang and im super disappointed
i have mocks in december how can i improve?

Hi

For science the thing that saved me was a website called cognito. You should sign up for it and dont worry its free. Watch all the videos and make notes. They have quizzes at the end of the video and they have past paper questions. Their videos have lots of good visual stuff i rlly recommend.i used this for my gcse for combined science and i got a grade of 7/8. I did way better than what my teachers predicted me.
Languages i used to just revise the vocabulary by just writijg it out and i would practice writing paragraphs on different topics.
Maths i used maths genie and lots of past papers.
English lang you could do past questions and give them to ur teacher to mark. I also recommed mr salles youtube channel. Hes rlly good for english lit asw.

I never did RE but its an essay subject so i would just practice writinf more essays or blurting is also really good for essay subjects. I think mindmaps are also useful to link stuff together.

Science subjects flashcards are rlly good.
I never did geography but you could make mindmaps or flashcards?

You need to understand why you fail. Was it because you did not practice enough or you did not have the right revision resources .. ? Did you struggle to understand some concepts .. If you identify why exactly you got these grades then you can better solve the problem.

I would suggest to start practicing for your exams now, consistently every week. Don't wait for the last minute to practice.

For sciences, indeed cognito is amazing. You also have PMT and BBC bite size. For humanities, english and all essay based subjects you can use Tilf website to practice and get feedback. And then you can use specialised platforms like first rate tutors for english for example. Also go to AQA website and practice all past mock exams.

For me recently flash cards ive found on anki help because they somehow stay in my mind its for free and you can find the subjets you need online, its mainly best for english lit and for sciences
