Law + Maths EPQ

I am going to study law at Uni, since i am really interested in it, love reading, debating and would enjoy a career in law. However I also have a passion for maths(i take maths and fm a level and two essay subjects).I am keen to do and EPQ as this would help with my research skills, and I think i can handle the workload. I want to do an EPQ which mixes both maths and law, i understand that these are contrasting fields, however it would definitely be something that interests me. I asked Chat GPT for some ideas and searched on the internet but they seem very meh. Does anyone have any good ideas, please could it be something that i can talk about in my personal statement and i could relate when discussing legal theories.

Thanks

Absolutely! You could look at the use of mathematics in the courtroom, such as in the case of Sally Clark. There is a cool book called Math on Trial: How Numbers Get Used and Abused in the Courtroom. I'm also a law applicant who takes further maths, so if you want to ask anything else or just waffle about cool maths concept, please feel free!

Also, give this question a go for an insight into how maths and law might tie together. Obviously, it's only a silly example, but very fun and it's a cool little problem:
