Yes - that should be the move-in date.

Hi! Glad you’re interested in Bath 😊

New students are given a move in date, normally the weekend before welcome week (last year it was from Friday-Sunday). So I’d definitely make sure you’re available from the end of the previous week if possible.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
Lauren, University of Bath.

Hi there!

I cannot speak for RH because I have never been. However personally, three things stuck out to me about Bath that made me love it above my other uni choices:

1.

Placement scheme. Bath has one of the best and well-supported industrial placement schemes in the country with almost all of our courses offering a version with a year's placement. This is not only a fun, different thing to do for a year but its a very important way to get experience for a CV which other grads may not have and potentially a foot in the door to future employment, which I have found hugely valuable.

2.

Small size of Campus and City. Bath is not as large as some bigger cities such as London, Manc or Birmingham and so it has a much cosier feel whilst still having a lot of things to do and see. It is the second safest city ranked in the UK and if you wanted to visit somewhere bigger, its only 30 mins bus ride to Bristol.

3.

Teaching Quality. I was very reassured to hear that Bath has recently been given a TEF triple gold certificate which is a measure of teaching quality. The lecturers here are experts in their subjects and are working on modern, up to date, internationally excellent research studies alongside teaching you, and so you really are learning from the best.

I would try to visit both uni's open days if you can as this will give you a great sense of how the place makes you feel and if you feel like its the right place for you.

I hope this helps! Best of luck in your decision 🙂

Hi there,

It's great to hear you're considering studying at Royal Holloway. We offer programmes across the whole spectrum of Business and Management. For example, from Marketing to Accounting, and Entrepreneurship to Human Resource Management. All of our programmes have a Year in Business option, allowing you to enrich your studies by spending a year out on placement, immersed in the real world of business. You can take a look at our webpage here - it has all the information you need about the entry requirements, course content, career opportunities, and more.

We would also recommend having a chat with one of our current Business and Management students here. Farha will be able to share some more insight with you.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,
Royal Holloway, University of London
