Westminster 16+ interviews

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone who goes to Westminster School in sixth form who does languages has any info on what language interviews are like? I’m assuming it’s a bit like a GCSE oral exam, but are there any other parts to it or do you just have to basically do an oral? I’d particularly appreciate advice from anyone who does German.

Hey I also got a German interview. I’m assuming it’s just gcse oral kind of stuff, so maybe just a long convo in German. good luck

Hi - I did it two years ago for Spanish and the first half of the interview ended up being in Spanish. I wasn't fluent at all and I could just about answer the questions. It was more of a conversation than like a speaking exam. So I would say make sure you are quite good at general conversation in your language - beyond I am good / bad. I think I was asked why I want to go to the school, and leave the one I was at, and why I wanted to study Spanish. I can't remember the other questions but good luck!

Hi guys,
I recently completed the Westminster Sixth Form entrance examinations and got through to the interviews. I did History, English Literature, Geography and Economics.
I would appreciate any advice as to what I can expect from the interviews and anything in particular that they are looking for that would make me stand out.
