Complicated Student finance question

I am currently doing a PGCE.

I am struggling a lot! Not sure if this is the career for me.

I was thinking, when I'm done, maybe I could look at a pre registration MSc in Occupational Therapy (2 years). I hear this entitles me to the same funding as an undergraduate degree? My circumstances are not typical though.

I have an undergraduate degree in education.
I am doing a PGCE right now.

Before the PGCE I started a nursing course but dropped out after a few months.

So my question is, would I be eligible for funding for an occupational therapy degree?

Hi there,

That course - MSc in Occupational Therapy - may be an exception, which means you can be entitled to funding regardless of your previous study.

Do you know what university is offering this course?

Thanks, Graeme

Yes. There are a few such as Sheffield hallam or York St Johns.

I need to ask the same question but differently.

I have a 3 years bachelor's degree in education studies. But before I did 1 year of an engineering degree before and dropped out. After finishing my education degree, I started a PGCE but withdrew after a month. I then started a nursing BSc (exception course) but withdrew after 4 months.

Now I'm back on a PGCE with funding.

If it doesn't go to plan, can I still get funding to do an MSc Occupational Therapy? (2 years pre registration course).

I also started the PGCE in 20
Hi ibn__m7md,

Yes, you will be eligible for funding for the MSc Occupational Therapy course as this is an Postgraduate Healthcare exception course so we won't take your previous study into account.

Thanks,
Calum
