do you know if rejections are coming the same day as interviews? i'd really like to know either way, i wouldn't want to be left without news.

They might for some colleges, and not others. Really thought we'd hear today. Looking at the interview timetable, E&M and Physics were the next to start. E&M has begun, and Maths ...but not Physics. Seems as though those who are going to be rejected need to wait another 3 days until Monday...at least.

They come all at about the same time. I really wish Oxford were more transparent with this and when they are releasing emails.

my cousin applied in earlier aand said she got a rejection on the day of interview handings

From what i've heard the rejections and invites should be sent out together. I cannot believe that they are making us wait the whole weekend too. :frown:

They say that they should come out at least a week before interviews and if you have not heard either way five days before then you should get in touch.

If Oriel are saying they will give Physics interviews on the 3rd, then most colleges likely will on that day too. Shortlisting is done by the Physics department, not the colleges, and so all colleges tend to realise (pretty much) on the same day. Equally, not hearing back for a little longer than others is not unusual as it may mean you are not interviewing with the college you apply to. About 1/3 of applicants will have primary interviews at a college they did not apply to.

Either way, acceptances and rejections come on the same day and you are notified whatever they decide. The waiting is horrible but it certainly doesn't suggest anything negative about your application.
