ghosting a girl

I keep declining plans with this girl. She claims to me best friends with me but we've only met up like 3 times.
I know it sounds harsh to ghost her but idk what to do. I'm not the confrontational type and nothing she can say or do will want me to hang around her. Lets just say she has said some particular views and opinions that I dont agree with(Disability and LGBT). She also talks bad about random people - her exs new girlfriend, a random lady on the street etc. She doesn't do it alot but when she does - theres no need and I just sit there quietly bc what does she expect me to say?
I have hinted towards the fact that I wasn't comfortable of what she said and that it was wrong but she brushed it off - I don't know whether or not she cares or if she's just dumb.
I don't want to be mean but I haven't seen her in 3 weeks and I keep declining her plans, hoping she will forget me after Christmas. I haven't been trying to lead her on either. I try to be a dry texter and I'm not that amazing irl. We have different backgrounds so I can understand that she may have a different aspect in life but I have given her so many signs that I don't like her behavior, I don't know whether she gets the hint.
