Lowering entry requirements

I just wanted to ask since I've seen people saying that if you live in a certain area, your parents didn't go to university or household income is lower some universities lower entry grades for these types of reasons? How could I apply for something like this and does every school offer it?

These are contextual offers; as far as I'm concerned, virtually every university offers it or, at the very least, considers contextual data. This is for students whose background results in lower academic performance (i.e. Postcode, whether your parents went to uni, whether you go to a good school). Many schools would have contextual entry grades lower than the normal ones listed underneath their entry requirements; if not, emailing them should help. If you're applying to uni through UCAS there is a section where you can put in any contextual data you may have (e.g have you been a carer), factors like postcode will already be considered as you have to put your postcode down anyway.

As above - check on the relevant course page on each Uni website to see if you meet their criteria (they will all be slightly different), and what the lower grade entry requirements would be.
