Can I apply to Bath, Southampton chemical engineering with AAB?

Hi there, I have been predicted AAB( Maths, Bio and B in Chemistry)- the UCAS deadline in our school is tomorrow. I've just phoned UCL and they said they won't make an offer unless I get AAA. Can I apply to Bath with AAB? or Edinburgh or Southampton? Which universities can I realistically put on my list? Please reply asap if you can help!!!

Hi @ayesha.kmr,

I cannot speak for Bath and Edinburgh, but Southampton are likely to give you an offer for Chemical Engineering (both the Beng and Meng courses), given you are only one level below our requiremants. This offer would be provisional on you getting AAA as you final results in summer.
I wish you luck in your exams

Chem Eng isnt that competitive - so you should be okay applying with AAB, though you may have to wait until March/April for an offer decision.

Good AAB or ABB choices would be
Undergraduate degrees | Chemical Engineering | Loughborough University
MEng Chemical Engineering Degree Course UK | University of Strathclyde
Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Courses - Swansea University

Just remember that you still need at least one choice well below your predicted grades as an Insurance choice - Aston (Birmingham) would be a good choice
