imperial interview went so bad

I had my interview last week, my initial thoughts were that I had totally failed it but as time passed and I'd spoken with my parents, teachers & friends etc about how it went I actually feel I did fine. I have no doubt it's the same for you, once you give it a few days you'll realise it was not as bad as you think it went now; its very natural to catastrophise right after stressful stuff like this and only focus on what you hesitated on/misspoke about. Just remember, they would not interview you if they didnt think you were a serious candidate capable of getting into one of the worlds best unis.
My interviewer was also cutting me off a lot and if you think about it they kinda have to as they have loads of interviews to carry out and they have to asses all of these students in that 20min slot so please don't think it was because they thought you were a waste of time. If anything, they would cut you off if they thought you were doing well on what they asked and wanted to change the topic to test other bits of your knowledge in the short time available.

Same thing happened to me As questions asked gave half baked answer i applied for chem

it is so frustrating like you didn’t even get a chance to show how capable you are - but if they’re doing the same to everyone then just we’re gonna have to wait it out and don’t get too mad at urself i was super depressed after but it’s like you did what you could what they asked was out of ur control

they were legit just asking me gcse/very start of AS chemistry level questions and i feel like they didn’t think i was very smart and were just getting the interview over and done with since im a contextual student. they kept cutting me off too. how much of the application is based on the interview? applied for chemistry with medicinal Msc

they did that to me too- tell me why they were asking me to point to the s p and d blocks on the periodic table?? 😭

Why was my interview bad but for the exact opposite reasons 😭😭 they asked me rlly off spec stuff, I was struggling the whole way 😭😭😭

i mean surely if the interview mattered more 1. longer than 20 mins 2. not half of it about why chemistry and why imperial 3. harder questions? yk?
