Can I still get the 16+ Oystercard if I'm 18

I'm 18 and in my first year at a London uni, the website says I could still get one more year but when I tried to apply, they said the full time education must be Level 3 or below. I'm pretty sure Uni is Level 4-6 so I'm really confused - is 16+ Oystercard exclusive of 18+ london uni students?

Hi @sahal.h2006

When I was in my first year of university I got the 18+ student Oyster card. I am assuming the 16+ is only until you are 18 then you need to get the 18+. And yes your right uni is level 4-6 so I don't think you would be eligible for the 16+.

I hope this is helpful

If you go here: https://photocard.tfl.gov.uk/termsAndConditions and click on the "16+ Zip Oyster photocard" option you'll get the terms and conditions -- and these make it clear that university students are not eligible for the 16+ card:

"Full-time education, for the purposes of 16+ Zip Oyster photocard eligibility, means:
a minimum of 12 hours of guided learning per week - between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday-Friday for a minimum of ten weeks, on further education courses at level 3 or below in a school sixth form, sixth form college, academy, further education college or other training provider." (emphasis added by me)
