When apply for college does my gcse result determine my level

Does my gcse result determine my level
What do you mean?
Your gcse results will determine what options you have post-16 as some courses require certain grades in certain subjects. However subjects don’t usually have tiers like at gcse (IB has two levels but that’s different) if that’s what your asking.

Does my gcse result determine my level

Hey @SelenaADEBAYO,

Following on from what DerDracolage said above, your GCSE results can also sometimes determine what sixth form/college you can attend, as different sixth forms may have different grade requirements. But there's no Foundation/Higher tier papers at A-Level and therefore there's no tier-related cap on what grade you can achieve.

Hope this was helpful,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
