Mechanical Engineering: Loughborough or Warwick

Hi all;
My son is finalizing his UCAS application for Mechanical Engineering. List is almost finalized, just one question left: should we choose Loughborough or Warwick? Other 4 choices are having higher admission requirements with A*A*A and A*AA. He has already an A* from Maths and his predictions include one more A* (DT) and A - A (Pysics and Further Maths).
We have visited Loughborough Campus and really appreciated a lot (both the campus, study places and labs). We havent been to Warwick or Coventry. I see that comments (and rankings for engineering) are much more positive for Loughborough vs Warwick in the contect of engineering. Student/city life is also an important aspect for our choice.

He should have one lower choice - where else has he applied?

Considering Imperial, Bristol, Sheffield, Bath..
