Bristol Accelarated Graduate Vet Medicine 2025

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone has heard back on their applications to Bristol for the 4 year accelerated vet course? I’m also waiting for a response from H&K if anyone’s heard back? The waiting feels horrendous 😅

Hey, I'm still waiting too, I submitted my SAQ on the day of the deadline.

I’ve not heard anything back from Bristol either. I’m in the vet med applicant forum also and haven’t seen anyone that’s heard back unless they did an access course for the 5 year program

Hi, I haven't heard anything from Bristol accelerated vet med yet. I think by sound of it, they must do the accelerated course a little after processing the 5 year course? As on the 2025 vet med course thread the 5 year applicants had been put on hold. Whereas I haven't been put on hold yet for the 4 year course.

I have heard from Harper + Keele, I've been given an interview for the 17th. Good luck though, I believe they'll be doing it in batches, so your chance is soon to happen I'm sure

I would agree they’re processing them later, I’ve been asked to email on the 10th for an update as it would have been 8 weeks since submission but wondering whether they’ll just chuck me on hold

Good luck, I hope it goes well!

On another note, how are you guys all feeling about the funding situation? The idea of not getting much by way of student loans for a second degree is a bit daunting so just wondering how you’re all feeling about managing it with such a demanding degree?

I’m intending to cross that bridge when I get to it (however irresponsible that may be😂) SFE will still give a maintenance loan I believe so I will use that to cover my fees. I am very lucky that I have a housemate who’s rent covers my mortgage and some bills so that reduces my outgoings significantly

Anyone heard anything yet, I know there’s been some offers for the 5 year

Everyone says it’s a demanding degree, and compared to others it probably is, but it isn’t as challenging as some make out, it’s just very content heavy. So as long as you are organised it is perfectly possible to work along side your studies. My D is a 4 th year student at Bristol and combines studies, a job, a committee presidency and an active social life. Around exam time it’s a bit harder but still doable as long as from day one you make sure to keep up with lectures.

This is very reassuring! I do think the AGEP is also geared towards people having to work alongside it given the nature of having more mature students with families/financial commitments etc. I work 3-4 days per week alongside my current degree and it is definitely manageable but you do have to be super organised!
