Hi, I am currently F2 working in Oncology. I planned to do IMTs which seems really hard considering that I have nothing in the score atm - planning to take an F3 to build my portfolio before applying in 2025.
I have heard case report is easier to be done compared to other type of publication.
There was an interesting case in the department a while ago which I have spoken to a consultant about who is happy to supervise me for a case report (mainly for scoring for IMT application).
However, our trust doesn't have subscription to the BMJ case report and this means I will have to self fund if I want to do a case report with the BMJ (which from my research, seems the most suitable for me who hasnt publish before as they also have a clear guide for case report)
My consultant has been in contact with the drug company to see if there is any funding they can help with (its related to a rare s/e of immunotherapy) but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere yet.
wondering if anyone has any idea whether there is any other way to get this done? I have been looking around to see if there is any other journal who would accept a case report with no charge with clear guide (as I never publish before) but can't seem to find a suitable option
