how do i know WHY i got a lower offer ??

my application got sent off YESTERDAY and i've got 4/5 conditionals already !! one of them was from a uni who wanted ABB, but they offered BBB. will i ever find out why ?? obviously NOT complaining im just very interested

No, and don't waste their time asking, they've got better things to do. Offers are just economics. They want you.

you could look on their website for details of their contextual offer criteria to see if you meet it

If you wanted to substitute one or more of your choices for more ambitious universities now that you've got a few offers (hopefully including 1 or 2 that you'd be happy with) you can do that within 14 days of applying - you just need to ring UCAS to substitute a choice that has made you an offer within the 14 days.
