Can you shorten the Senior Maths Challenge into SMC or SMC UKMT?
Also, when talking about the awards, is it better to say you got the Gold certificate, or the Kangaroo stages since Gold awarded participants get automatically put into the Kangaroo stages?

If youre applying to a maths degree, Id expect theyd understand. As for gold/kangaroo/bmo, its really up to you as gold -> kangaroo | bmo. Id not overthink how important it is and describing things about what you learnt etc would probably be more important than the mark on a 1 1/2 hr test once a year.
