NHS STP with masters

Currently in my third year of uni and plan on getting a masters before I apply to STP. Looking at the requirements it says you either need a 2:1 and above at undergrad or a 2:2 and a higher qualification. I am currently predicted to graduate with a 2:1, and am wondering if I get my masters before I apply, would I still be eligible?

Why would you complete a masters immediately before applying to a training programme that requires you to complete a masters? Why not just go straight to the training programme?

Mainly because STP is currently not the biggest priority. I want a career in NHS eventually mainly because of the job security and so STP is ideal, but I also enjoy academia so I would like to extend my academia life longer to see whether I truly enjoy the competition and rigorous expectations of the academia when i move up from undergrad. The best way to do that is to get a masters, and I dont mind if i have to do two masters eventually, which is why asked whether i'd still be eligible for STP if i already obtained a masters.

Hi, this is from the NHS STP website 'To apply to the Scientist Training Programme (STP) you must have a 1st or 2:1 in either an undergraduate honours degree or an integrated master’s degree. ...However, you may submit an application if you have a higher degree (a degree completed after a Batchelors degree, at a more advanced level e.g. MSc) in a relevant subject for the specialty being applied to, and have a 2:2 honours degree in any subject.', so as long as you have the grades, you should be able to apply even if you already have a MSc degree as well.
