Hi, a few days ago my shower leaked while I was in it, and I hadn’t realised it flooded my bathroom until halfway through. luckily I noticed in time before it got REALLY bad, however it did leak just outside of my bathroom door and onto my bedroom carpet and somehow it leaked through the cracks in my bathroom wall/floor? Because it’s leaked out on either side of my bathroom walls and onto the carpet under my bed. (I live in an en-suite)
I called for maintenance to come over, which they did. I was at uni at the time but I think they dried the carpet by the bathroom, and there was a strong scent of lemon that masked the smell, but they didn’t touch the carpet under my bed - now there’s a strong pungent smell of mould back again and I don’t think they attempted to remove it, and if they did, it was only in one spot, definitely not under my bed. I’m not sure of what to do. I’ve already called for maintenance once, so I don’t know if it’s right to call them again for the same problem when they’ve already visited me, but at the same time there’s definitely still a mould smell, it’s affecting my throat.
Is there any way I can remove it myself? The mould isn’t visible yet and I obviously can’t pull the carpets up considering it’s accommodation. I’m concerned that if I ask for maintenance again they’ll tell me they’ve already been to visit
