UCAS application

gcse grades: 5766655B9, one of the 5s is chemistry, 9 - chinese and B - IGCSE.
predicted grade: AAC with epq

I got an email about liverpool's physiotherapy rejected my application cause I didn't meet their GCSE requirement. I contacted ucas abt this and they said I can make a substitution for it. I am thinking of substitute liverpool with southampton's physio (requirement: AAB, ABB with A in EPQ. GCSE English language (or GCSE English) (minimum grade 4/C) and mathematics (minimum grade 4/C)). Just what to ask is it a good substitution for me as I'm not sure will they accept my AAC predicted grade.

One of my 5 choices is KCL's physio (AAB, 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics). I am also freaking out rn as I am super worried will KCL also rejected my offer.

Hi, dependent on how long ago you submitted your ucas (14 days) you can substitute your options for others.
Yes, do check and sustitute if you can because they will be pretty unmovable on any GCSE requirements

You don't meet the GCSE requirements for KCL so you need to find a substitution for this choice too. Have you checked the GCSE requirements for all your other choices?

Bear in mind that is doesn't matter where you study a healthcare course as they are all held to the same standard by the HCPC, and your future employers won't care where you studied. Use the NHS course finder and look for courses that also accept UCAS points - they are likely to have more flexibility with your C grade.

thank you so much for the reply and the link, it's very useful. I have checked the GCSE requirements for other choices and I do meet their requirements. I am thinking should I take a risk and substitute KCL or Liverpool to southampton as I do meet their requirement on GCSE

Thank you so much for ur reply and link, it is very helpful. I have checked all the requirements for other choices and I do meet them. Since KCL is my top choices, I really don't want to give up until they give me their decision but I also don't want to take a risk and got rejected again. Do you think substituting KCl or liverpool with southampton will be a good choice? (do meet their GCSE requirement, a-level requirement is ABB with A in EPQ)

You can substitute each choice once. So you can choose other unis instead of both Liverpool and KCL. KCL is a very risky choice as you don't meet the GCSE requirements (usually an immediate rejection) and your predicted grades don't meet the A level requirements. You still don't meet the A level requirements for Southampton, but it is a less risky choice because you meet the GCSE requirements.

thank you so much for helping me. I have made my final decision and will contact UCAS as soon as possible.
I would just like to ask a final question. In result day, if my actual A-level results meet KCL's A-level requirement, is it possible for me to contact them during clearing and get it, even though my GCSE grades are still the same.

You can try but there is no guarantee that the course will be in clearing or that KCL would lower the entry requirements.
