Finding Computer Science related work experience

Hi, I am currently in year 12 and looking undertake some work experience. I have searched wide for in-person work experience within this sector but cant find it. Has anyone had luck with a previous tech company and that they could recommend? Thanks

You need to give more information. If someone recommends a company in wales or Scotland would you be able to travel there? Where do you live and how have you looked?

Hi Jay, where are you based? I have an opportunity for someone to get hands on experience with a startup saas business. This is not a paying role, but I can provide mentoring and practical real world experience.

Sorry, completely forgot to mention I am based in Birmingham! I've looked on line and most things I come across are virtual work experience or internships for people leaving year 13, however I am interested in doing in-person work experience

Have you contacted the hr departments of large employers in the area? Councils, universities, hospitals etc. They’ll all have pretty big IT departments. Looked at large businesses in local industrial estates.
