Hi, good luck for your interview!
Have a good read of the nhs constitution and also the new dental hygienist scope of practice as things may be changing soon ☺️

Hey, how did it go? I had mine yesterday!

Hi I have just finished interview with Essex yesterday, it was very chilled and it was more like a chat more than an ''interrogation"! so you'll have nothing to worry about.

I felt very calm during the interview, and also agree with you as it definitely didn’t feel like an interrogation! Fingers crossed for us both

Hello, Congratulations, and best of luck with your interview! I was wondering if you could offer some advice on writing a personal statement. I'm finding it quite challenging as I've never written one before.
Thank you in advance!

Hey, congratulations on your interview! I was wondering whether for your personal statement you based it primarily on dental hygiene or added the dental therapy side of it too

Hey thank you!
I just wrote about why I wanted to get onto the course and why I was interested in it, also a bit of my background as I’m working working in the dental field. Hope that helps! Good luck

Hey I wrote it primarily on hygiene but I also added a little saying I was interested in doing the year top up for the therapy course.

I also have an interview with Essex next week, it's reassuring to read the panel is friendly.

The panel is super friendly and understanding that you’re going to be nervous! Just take your time to listen to the question and don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat what question it was in the middle of answering, I you feel like you’ve wondered in the answer 🙂

Thank you  Was it just a generic chat about your experience and motivation for you or were there scenario based questions?

Congratulations! I was wondering, after you submitted your application how long did it take them to get back to you and offer an interview? Also best of luck, I really hope it goes well.

Congratulations on the interview. I have mine this week, did they ask anything about the NHS constitution and scenario based questions? Thanks

I applied in early December and got offered an interview last week. I don't think it makes a difference when you apply as they give everyone who applies before the deadline a chance.
