Glasgow access programme/ gateway to medicine 2025 entry

Yeah, I was going through some tsr threads and there is someone who got an unconditional from Dundee without an interview and sorry I don’t know what the grades were Btw have you applied to gateway? Which unis?

Nice, I have applied to 3 gateway course (Glasgow, St Andrews and Dundee), neuroscience and lastly human biology and physiology both at Glasgow. My grades 7 As Nat 5 and 3As and 2 Bs at higher. How about yours? But yh hopefully we hear back soon😊

you could’ve applied to direct medicine with those grades, how come you didn’t ? i got 6As and 1B Nat 5 and at Higher 2As and 3Bs

I could’ve but it felt like a long shot. But do you think I have chance with gateway? Cause I’m so anxious and nervous. But yh it is what it is I just want to know if they’ll take me or not. The wait is daunting.

no omg it wouldn’t have been a long shot. if you meet widening access and have a good UCAT youre good to go. im UNSURE about this but i THINK for Dundee gateway they’re a bit iffy about those over their grade requirements as they’d rather you apply directly. for Glasgow yes you have a really good chance !! i know someone who got in with the same grades as you

Thanks that’s so reassuring😊, all we have to do is wait it out and see what happens. Glasgow is my top choice anyways so if I get in that’d be like a dream come true for sure. What’s your top choice? or are you not fussed?😂

True cause an offer for gateway is an offer regardless of where it is I know, which seems far away but actually isn’t if you think about it. I knowww this whole experience is a whole rollercoaster of emotions in a short space of time :/

oh also by chance have you done REACH ?? if so, it’s something really good to mention for Glasgow’s interview.

i’ve applied to Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and St. Andrew’s. i heard st andrews give there interviews out the earliest, Aberdeen offer interviews to those who meet the requirements. But this year for Glasgow, those that don’t get into medicine, get put into the Gateway application process too 😭 Dundee is what i’m unsure about. What were you’re grades
