Wondering if anyone can help

I started using Snapchat last year, initially I didn’t realise people are adding me and now I’ve only just realised that I have over 29k followers.. so people have been adding me.. however when I learned that, I took it seriously, wanted to gain more followers.. but since then no one is adding me even tho my quick add is switched on .. it always has been- on my snapchat it was never been quiter as it is now.. please can anyone help me why people aren’t adding me anymore .. or has Snapchat realised that I’m gaining more followers so tryna prevent prevent people to add me ???

Some perspective here: 29k is a good-sized crowd at a football match for the team that I support and I only know a very few of them. So what does it matter if you have followers or not, and how many?

You weren't looking for followers when you joined Snapchat, you just happened to notice they were there. There's no limit on how many followers you can have, but if you had 32k, what next; would you want 35k? The ones that are genuinely human don't care about you, so why care about them? There's more things to take seriously than a majority of randoms and bots on your account, otherwise you'd be friends and interacting with them.
