Oxford Brookes University

Hi! My son got an offer for the course Motorsport engineering. It is written on the offer - “In order to confirm your place you will need to pay a deposit of £3000 or provide evidence of
Oxford Brookes University approved sponsorship”
He is still a student at 12th grade. If he accepts the offer now , when will he have to pay the deposit- nom or after finishing school during May.

Hi Gargova,

Congratulations to your son on receiving an offer to study Motorsport Engineering at Oxford Brookes University! This is one of the courses that has just moved into the new buildings on the Headington Hill Site, so your son will benefit from the new facilities that are designed to improve student experience and boost collaboration with the local community.

Regarding the £3,000 deposit mentioned in his offer letter, typically, deposit payments are required after accepting an offer. The deposit deadline for the September 2025 intake has not yet been announced. However, it is typically set around June or July. We recommend paying your deposit as soon as possible to allow sufficient time to begin the CAS process and apply for your student visa. Once the deadline has been confirmed, it will be published on our International Dates and Deadlines webpage. Last year, the deadline for international students enrolling in September was 21st June 2024.

Here are links to the Overview of the application process and paying the deposit, the page outlining the scholarships currently available, and the homepage for the International Student Advice Team. It’s ideal to pay the deposit as early as possible to enter CAS Shield, an online platform Oxford Brookes uses to streamline the process of obtaining a CAS certificate - an essential document for applying for a student visa.

I recommend contacting the Admissions Office or the International Student Advice Team at Oxford Brookes University directly to confirm when the deposit would be due in your son's case. They can provide detailed information tailored to his situation and ensure that all requirements are met on time.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!
All the best,
Dan
