STEM supercurriculars

Does anybody know any STEM supercurriculars for somebody in year 10? I know about the general stuff like wider reading, volunteering and work experience but any specific competitions or opportunities would be helpful
Volunteering and work experience isn’t a supercurricular for academic STEM courses.

Do you have any thoughts about which branches of STEM interest you?

Specifically for Work Experience/Shadowing-
Medic mentor!! It’s an online work experience and it’s perfect if you’re doing Medicine/Law/Veterinary/Dentistry.
You could also try and do some shadowing - I did some at a clinic. But don’t worry if you can’t find any work experience placement within the field you’re interested in because at the end of the day universities are more interested in what skills you’ve learnt and how they apply to your specific course!

I'm looking to do dentistry that's why I mentioned those I just didn't specify because I don't want to be too close minded before completing my work experience 😅

Thank you so much for recommending medic mentors! I luckily already have a work experience placement in a dental clinic but thank you for the advice
