advice for my a-levels?

i’m a year 11 and i’m struggling with what i want to do in college. i’m pretty sure i want to do a-levels and at the moment i’ve decided i want to do english lit. however i’m unsure about what other 2 subjects to choose - the subjects i’ve narrowed it down to are geography, biology, environmental science or psychology. at the moment i don’t know what i want to do in the future and am not too interested in going to university, these are just the subjects i find interesting. i was wondering if i could have some advice on what subjects are the most useful out of these or what would be a good combo? thanks !!

firstly, do what you enjoy as it will be very hard to do a subject at A-level if you don't enjoy it
secondly, choose a broad range of subjects so that you aren't limited in the future.
also consider an EPQ its useful if you want to go to university

Hi, I think it's best to pick a wide variety of subjects that can open you up to more opportunities in the future. You could take psychology and geography, which are pretty different subjects. On the other hand, taking similar subjects can help you when there are links between them, I am in Year 13 and taking bio, chemistry, and geography, and surprisingly they all link well with each other! it helps in consolidating topics and helps with understanding, but if you're not sure what you want to do after a-levels its defo better to keep your options as open as you can.

If you’re unsure about your plans, I’d recommend choosing subjects that keep your options open. Geography and psychology pair well with English Lit and offer flexibility for various career paths. Most importantly, pick what you enjoy - you’ll do best in those!
