TMUA results

I was wondering if anyone knew the exact date when we get out TMUA results? I heard it was around 6 weeks after the exam but I wasn't too sure.

From what I know, there isn't an exact date. You will be emailed when the results are available. I'd say you can probably expect this Wednesday or Thursday.

Can someone explain the scaling for the results this year. I got 4.5 which I’m a bit sad about, could someone explain the scaling please?

Please don't be sad. That is an excellent score!! 👏👏 Durham Uni have said that a score of 5.0 is equivalent to a 6.5 from last year, so you did very well. We just don't know if all the other Uni's are of the same opinion? So confusing, and frustrating for everyone getting their TMUA results today....

It will probably disadvantage u but theres no harm in having it as an aspirational choice. Just make sure u have a safety option as well I think

Bsc economics

I believe anything lower than 5 would be a minimum for BSc Economics at LSE out not a 6.5, since TMUA is mandatory for this course. So best not to waste a Uni space but you still can apply for Mathematics with economics at LSE which TMUA is not mandatory.

I was wanting to apply for Mathematics, statistics and business at LSE and having a 4.1 TMUA isn’t going to be good even though it’s not mandatory!!
Would a 5.7 be considered a good score or would itdisadvantage you for Cambridge and LSE

Definitely a good thing! At cambridge for economics the average tmua score used to be around 6.4 for offer holders. A 5.7 in the new system probably equates to ~7 in the old system, so this is definitely good!!!

I’m applying LSE with 2.4 but I’m predicted 4 A* and the course says tmua isn’t mandatory but makes application more competitive, will I be ok

There are 2 courses that they say TMUA is mandatory. But if not, yes, go ahead and apply if you have 4*s predicted

If the TMUA is not mandatory apply and do not disclose your score
i got a 2.9 is it still worth applying to lse

although it’s very unlikely, you could if it’s your ‘aspirational’ option, if you have no other uni it would make more sense to put
Is 2.9 good enough for Warwick econ? With 4 predicted A* and good personal statement
Does Durham econ look at tmua?

Difficult to tell, they’ve started giving out offers, so with your tmua score you might be on the margin so could get an offer late in march or so.
