Job interview

Hey all so iv got a job interview next thurs at 9 for a customer service specialist job with a company called Zego.
So m just wondering whether anyone on here has had an interview with them for this job before and can tell me what it's like??
or anyone on here that works for them??
Also I had an interview with them almost 3 yrs ago for an I.T support job but I didn't get it so m worried that they;ll remember me and then reject me again.
Also iv had quite a lot of interviews over the past 2 years that iv been unemployed for but they never go well for me so m worried about it now.
Also it only for a 6 month contract.

Hi @cherlloydfan1

Congratulations on your job interview! You have evidently impressed the company with your application to make it to the next stage of the interview.

I haven't worked with Zego myself but believe they are the insurance company for hire and reward vehicles amongst other things.

I would say it is unlikely they would've held onto your information that long, it is possible if you're interviewed by the same people they might remember you, but three years is enough time for staff to have changed etc. Even if they do I wouldn't worry, it shows you are keen to work for them. I actually got a great job after applying to the same company twice, one I got through to an interview, but didn't get the job, and the second time I got the job.

I don't know what kind of job you're looking for whether it is permanent, full or part time etc. But if you're successful hopefully a 6-month contract suits you, sometimes companies extend these contracts before making you a permanent member of staff if you get on well and they have the option to do that.

I am sure you are doing great interviews, but it may just be other applicants have more work experience etc. Have you had any interview feedback from your interviews? If not it is worth asking for it, I have always found it helpful and it shows you care and values what interviewers think. I don't know if you have been to university at all but often unis have careers teams who can assist with CVs, job applications, and interview techniques. Another option you have is to speak to a local recruitment company and see if they can give you any advice or interview practices if you think that would help. I have been registered with recruitment agencies before and they have helped me get several jobs before.

Last but not least, I always research the company I have a job with, if you know who your interviewer is it is worth seeing if they're on LinkedIn, or just finding out what position they have at the company, and prepare some questions to ask. Then if they aren't answered during the interview you should get an opportunity to enquire at the end, this again shows you have thought about the role and are keen, which employers like.

I hope that helps a little, best of luck at the interview!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Lucy 😊
