Applying to uni

I’m rewriting my personal statement about wanting to do biomedical science but the problem is the work experience I’ve done doesn’t correlate with the course I want to do in uni. What do I do? Should I take a gap year for proper work experience?

you can talk about how the skills from your work experience can be applied to biomed and how it would make you a good candidate. you can do free online courses related to biomed (coursera, springpod and edx) are good ones. for biomed i don't think they check work experience heavily ( spoke with previous biomed applicants and teachers) as long as you show how your previous studies and intrest make you a good candidate you are good to go
