Contextual Offers for Outreach Participants at the University of Bath

First post on here, but I’ll try to keep it as concise as possible. I recently finished Discover Bath and I’ve emailed their Participation email with my UCAS ID to confirm this, I expect them to give out offers in January, that’s what I’ve been told, so I’m not surprised about that. But I got an email recently requesting a new personal statement, which was a red flag for me, considering that I’ve already made them aware that I finished Discover Bath. Regardless of the fact, I completed this brushed it off as standard procedure and continued with my day, but it had me wondering if they even check all the outreach applicants until all of the applications have been processed.

In addition to this, they were very vague on whether you receive a contextual offer or not for this university, because I am eligible for their contextual offers regardless through FSM, I don’t know if UCAS has confirmed this, but I did tick “yes” on the site so I assume they did, but I think that the summer school would also create a stronger case for contextual offers, so I wanted to know if there was anyone who could clarify for this.

Just going to note, I love Bath a lot, and it'll most likely be my first choice university if I get an offer, which I'm hoping I should, considering what was mentioned above, this isn't out of anger or disappointment.
It's just me trying to get to understand the system better from more experienced students, at the absolute worst it’s me being a little bit confused.

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your situation, its fantastic to hear you're seriously considering Bath as your first choice 🙂 🙂 🙂 - apologies to hear you've been getting mixed information and things seem confusing, that must feel frustrating. I think the best thing you can do is to ask these questions to the admissions team - you can email us on [email protected] or ring us up on 01225 383019. They'll be able to give you much more tailored advice and hopefully reassure you.

Best of luck!
