Apprenticeship finance top up

I am looking to start a MSc next year and my employer can only claim apprenticeship levy up to £27,000. The course is going to be £28,000: can I get student finance for the remaining £1000?
Thanks

Hi there. Can you confirm the name of the course you are looking to study? Have you ever studied at a masters level previously? Thanks, Leah.

Hi Leah
It’s MSc Real Estate at university college of estate management and no I’ve never studied a masters before. I did a BA and had student finance funding for that.
My employer is happy to put me through as an apprentice but the maximum funding they can claim is £27,000 and the course goes up to £28,000 in the spring
Thanks
Ruth

Hi there. Providing you meet nationality and residency requirements, you can apply for up to £12,471 for a masters course from SFE. If you only want to borrow £1000 you can. This would be split over the length of your course (3 payments per academic year). Thanks, Leah.
