Best universities to study Politics and International relations?

Hello guys
I'm really interested in having a career in the diplomatic field or political field. However I would appreciate recommendations on some good universities where I could go and study these subjects. I have uni's such as Manchester,Oxford,Liverpool and the LSE in mind. However some recommendations would be helpful. I live in south wales, so i would appreciate if recommendations stayed to areas around the south of England,London, Midlands or North-west England. I just can't realistically go and study in Scotland, as it's just too far away from my family.
Here are some of the best universities for studying Politics and International Relations,

1. University of Oxford(UK) - Renowned for its rigorous curriculum and global reputation in political studies.
2. London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (UK) - Offers specialized courses in international relations and politics, with a strong focus on research and policy.
3. Sciences Po(France) - Ranked among the top globally for politics and international studies, with a focus on social sciences and interdisciplinary research.
4. Harvard University(USA) - Known for producing global leaders, it combines theory and practical approaches in its government and political science programs.
5. University of Cambridge (UK) - Highly rated for its political theory and international relations courses.

These institutions are globally recognized for academic excellence and contributions to policy-making and global diplomacy.

Best regards.

Hiya!

Have you considered studying at Cardiff yet? Its a brilliant uni for Politics and International Relations. The university is very career focused, so you have the opportunity to do relevant placements, do modules taught by the House of Commons (and do study days). The course also has lots of links to political institutions. In most Schools, the uni also offers paid summer internships  I've taken part in one of these personally and they are a brilliant opportunity to gain relevant skills but get paid doing it as well!

If you wanted to learn about what students think about the course, graduate prospects, employment etc I recommend looking at this link here for the statistics  Just bear in mind that not everyone answers the surveys so the answers you get depend on the people that bother to fill it out!
