I am required to attend the office in person to provide my identification, and I was also asked to bring a (DBS). When I inquired about the fee for the DBS, I was informed that I would have to pay for it. I was wondering if anyone else has faced a similar issue.also no to any oversees authority

I attended the office today to have my ID documents verified. I wasn’t asked to bring a DBS. I just submitted my original ID documents in person for verification and they gave them back to me after that then informed me that they would get back to me once verification is done. Though they said they can’t give me a specific time frame as to when they’ll get back to me

I assume you were 220th originally?
That’d indicate that they are offering now to 200 top ranks. In which case I’m sure you’ll be contacted soon as for sure at least 10% of these will decline or fail pecs.

But can never be sure

I’m still waiting from an email asking for additional information, I just sent what it was requested online, but I think everyone received emails requesting more information.
But regarding my I.D, I sent my passport ( scanned) and my settle status code, not sure if they will ask anything else.

I assume the information you provided was sufficient - they would only ask for further information if they required it.

Oh I thought they would request proof of address to everyone, I just sent an email to the recruitment team enquiring if they need any additional information, 3 weeks today since I accepted the job offer, let’s see if they reply back, it’s Thursday so possibly only next week.
Are your PECS almost finished?

hahaha they took their time lol I in my case I didn't have an up to date proof of address provisional driving licence so I had to get a bank statement printed in branch and stamped by the bank. as they only accept certain proof of address. In the end I also ordered a new provisional which took a week and costed 14 pound online and sent that also. They then messaged a week later saying we have uploaded this and will contact if any further needed.

I'm starting 6th May, too.

Mine is showing all still - but that's because my documents were not sufficientand had to upload twice pushing me back 2 weeks to a month perhaps, but I now have all docs so will see what happens

Hi everyone,
I just received an email from HMRC saying that the way they collect and verify ID documents from candidates has recently changed. They mentioned that I’ll now need to attend a face-to-face meeting with a team member at my local office to have my documents verified.
Has anyone else received this update too?

Reply 397

maybe they are no longer outsourcing the work

I did my in-person ID verification a week ago.
