Thanks for the information yeah I visited the college and they seemed good
i do geography (AQA) and biology (OCR). Personally i love geography and think it’s a great mix between writing and graph/anayltical stuff. The geography NEA is tough and a lot of work but once it’s done it’s honestly amazing. Biology is a much bigger step up from gcse imo. SO MUCH MORE CONTENT. hope that helps x

How are you liking these subjects and would you reccomend.Have any tips for people want to pursue any
Hello I do aqa biology. I enjoy the subject, however is it a big jump from gcse. The content is in much more depth and the mark scheme is very specific. I'd recommend doing regular exam practice, flashcards, blurting etc. to make the subject more manageable. If you have any other questions feel free to ask :-)

I do ocr a biology I'm really liking it so far (except the little bit of maths) and it really is just developing your gcse knowledge even more (and relearning a few things due to vocabulary and wording). Not really any difference in gcse and a level biology expect the obvious that a level biology is even more content heavy. And my friend does aqa environmental science (I did do a taster but swapped subjects) like the name suggests it focuses on the environmental aspects in science. So it really is a combo of bio, geography and possible geology?? If not mistaken. For aqa you have to write a 24ish marker at the end but you get to choose which question you want to do. I recommend looking at the spec to get a rough idea what you are getting yourself into and the examboards they do for that subject to be even more precise xx
I’m a year 13 and do Edexcel Geography and it’s pretty good. The exams are a lot of writing but as long as you understand the content you’ll be fine. NEA is 20% of your grade and it’s not as bad as someone people make it out to be. I’m doing a physical topic on the varying cliff heights at Lulworth Cove (although I would highly recommend doing a topic someone else has done previously so you have an example you can refer back to). I also do AQA Biology and I love it. Personally it’s the best science partly because of the low grade boundaries. Going from GCSE to AS isn’t too bad as long as you start making revision resources early and recapping them. AS to A2 is a bit more of a step and I’ve found one of the topics just hasn’t gone in but it’s nothing I can’t fix with a trusty revision guide. I think biology and geography are great and they do go hand in hand so I would highly recommend if it’s something you’re interested in.
