for stratford, the process is not too different (If im not mistaken) from laet - applications, interviews, offer etc. I think the application process was alright, the interview with the special item seemed kind of unnecessary but still was useful for a bit of teacher help with subjects

My grades were pretty low in comparison to the rest of my cohort (9888776644), with most guys saying all 8s and 9s 😭

oh thankyou so much! those grades are still pretty amazing, congrats! did u pick lesser competitive subjects than most people, is that why you think they accepted you with lower grades than rest of them?

Sorry for the belated reply. I study: Maths, Further Maths, Politics and Biology. I wanted to do econ, physics and computer science but they were all full before i got to the final stage of enrolment. From what I learned, further maths became full just a couple applicants after me. This year, I noticed a lot more feeder school pupils, and they get priority in the oversub criteria.

Feeder schools are nearby secondary schools that usually are disadvantaged. The criteria can be viewed online, but I believe it's 4 groups, with feeder school pupils, fsm, and an average of a grade 8+ being the first group, progressing down to around 7.5 or 7.

They only pressure you to work because a levels are very academically challenging and rigorous. Some people that got low in the first maths test we had have boosters for maths until 5 on some days

tbh it's too early to make a personal judgement right now, but following advice from year 13s, they say the earlier you put your head down and concentrate and try get ahead of the class, the easier it becomes later on down the line as you don't have to worry about content and can purely dedicate time to exam practice

hey i saw a thread earlier with someone talking about how laet is not a great place to go to, they said like the school is disorganised, the teachers can't teach, the study areas are bad, etc.
i mean if u want to apply go ahead because the school's got a great reputation academically and you'd probably get the grades you want if you put the work into it.
i hope that helps even tho it didnt answer any of your questions.
also i might apply to us unis aswell, which ones are you thinking of applying to?
