AAD but need BBB

I really want to study journalism at somewhere like Leeds and have certain mitigating circumstances that i can use. The offer seems to be that of a BBB, however I'm currently at an AAD (the A's in history and english and D in biology). Do I still stand a chance?

e-mail them and explain ur mitigating circumstances first of all and fill out the extenuating circumstances form.

a lot of unis will offer BBB and they just want the equivalent of those ucas points ( so you could have ABC and still get in) however this depends entirely on the uni and some don’t accept this, so ask them this in ur email. Because with ur AAD , that technically equals BBB.

the most important thing is email the unis ur applying for and tell them everything u can.

I have extenuating circumstances aswell and have dropped an a level so emailed all my unis i applied to and they have all come back really positively explaining clearly how i can get in with 2 a levels (only one of my unis said it’s unlikely i would get in w 2 a levels but it was my bottom choice so i didn’t rly care)
you also can email unis asking these questions before choosing which ones to apply to aswell if you haven’t applied yet, but it’s so important to explain u have mitigating circumstances and to ask them if you need to fill out a form for this.
Seems to be BBB.
What are the stated entry requirements - BBB or higher?
Because with ur AAD , that technically equals BBB.

Only if a Uni makes offers in UCAS points - and Leeds doesn't. Any Uni asking for specific grades wants those grades - not what an applicant thinks might look 'a bit like that'.

Yes this is true however with mitigating circumstances this can change,

My offer went from needing BBB to needing 80 Ucas points, so definitely definitely email them
