to keep it fair to everyone. once the deadline has passed they'll then shortlist people

Hirevue interviews are part of the initial application stage after submitting your details/CV, if I remember correctly I recieved mine after doing the Online tests they had. You won't know if you've been shortlisted for in person interviews which are completely different till March time, which the guy above has correctly stated

Hi mate, I have my hirevue assessments and video interview in a week from now for DTS. What kind of questions & assessments can I expect ? Are the questions going to be behavioural based at this stage ? Do they have any motivation related questions for hirevue ? What's the best way to prep?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi dude. Yes, the interview will be behavioural-based at this stage and partly in the final interview if you get there. They would also have some motivation-related questions. I remember being asked why I wanted to do an apprenticeship. The assessments will be a mix of maths and other stuff.

The best way to prepare is to first look at all of BAE's values, then look at the STAR method and see if there's anything you've done that you can link to the value and talk about via the STAR method. The behavioural questions will link to these values. If it's motivation-based, like why you want to do an apprenticeship, you won't need the STAR method as such. Its up to you where you think it'll be better.

If you don't know what the STAR Method is, it stands for:
S - Situation (give an overview of the situation you were in)
T - Task (What was your responsibility in the situation)
A - Action (What did you do in the situation)
R - Results (What were the results due to this. This can be good or bad; you will have questions possibly where they ask if something went wrong and what you learnt)

So, in recap on how to prepare: look at their values, note down situations you've been in where you've had to show these behaviours and learn about the STAR method. You will have 3 minutes to prepare before you answer each question, if I recall correctly. Also, be aware they could have changed it around since I had mine, so perhaps they'll ask some other questions. Regardless, looking at their values and using STAR will be your main thing.

thought it went well, All the questions were Star based questions so was bit tricky there. The games were good though and the feedback i got was good so hopefully i got to the next stage unless the feedback was just being nice to be nice
