BAE website says offers and outcomes in May. Could be this week or another 4!

Reply 363

Does that mean when we know the outcome or when they send out the official offers?

if anybody else is waiting to hear back for aerospace engineering, im 99% sure you wouldn't have got it if you haven't heard at this point, offers have gone out for samlesbury, and ive heard reserves are out for brough (pretty sure offers are given before reserves). To anybody holding out hope, sorry for being the bearer of bad news I myself would not mind being wrong.

Finally heard back today. Not good news, I'm on reserve list for nuclear engineering in Barrow. What are the chances for making it off reserve?

Not sure, I am waiting for software engineering and I haven't received anything yet. I think its not uncommon for people to withdraw their application.

I interviewed March 21st still haven't heard anything. Just wondering if anyone who applied to barrow for engineering has heard back yet?

I interviewed at the start of April (in the final week of their interviews) for the advanced apprenticeship but I got an offer a couple of weeks ago for electrical engineering in Barrow. Hope you get your reply soon as I know the wait in between is a nightmare!

I was placed on reserves two weeks ago and the lady told me the list of people on reserves was very small for my field i applied for.

anyone go to the kent office on wednesday?

If you are on reserves I wouldn't fret. You've done a great job getting to this point and there's quite a high chance you'll get a proper offer. I remember being put on reserves and then receiving and offer like a week later. There was also someone else who waited a month or two before being moved up to offer after being on reserve.

Thanks, I had security vetting forms through the other day. Hoping that's a sign that I might move off reserves?

Same here - it's not. They move us all along the background checks so that if someone drops out last minute due to missed grades or whatever then they don't waste time dragging it out even further + ensures everyone starts same time

Yes, Sek is correct. It makes sure you are ready to start straight away if a space will come up, which I would say, is a 60/40 chance of happening.

It's a bit dire though as you're most likely going to find out if you're off reserves when they get A level results which is mid-August (according to online) so not a lot of time to sort out accom for some people.
