Hi dude. Yes, the interview will be behavioural-based at this stage and partly in the final interview if you get there. They would also have some motivation-related questions. I remember being asked why I wanted to do an apprenticeship. The assessments will be a mix of maths and other stuff.
The best way to prepare is to first look at all of BAE's values, then look at the STAR method and see if there's anything you've done that you can link to the value and talk about via the STAR method. The behavioural questions will link to these values. If it's motivation-based, like why you want to do an apprenticeship, you won't need the STAR method as such. Its up to you where you think it'll be better.
If you don't know what the STAR Method is, it stands for:
S - Situation (give an overview of the situation you were in)
T - Task (What was your responsibility in the situation)
A - Action (What did you do in the situation)
R - Results (What were the results due to this. This can be good or bad; you will have questions possibly where they ask if something went wrong and what you learnt)
So, in recap on how to prepare: look at their values, note down situations you've been in where you've had to show these behaviours and learn about the STAR method. You will have 3 minutes to prepare before you answer each question, if I recall correctly. Also, be aware they could have changed it around since I had mine, so perhaps they'll ask some other questions. Regardless, looking at their values and using STAR will be your main thing.

Cheers! I'll let you know how it goes  . Based on your previous experience, how long does it take them to update us on the online assessment progress ? I heard that it won't be until ~March time? Is that accurate? Also, are you taking part in this year's recruitment wave as well?

Good luck! Yeah March time is very exact. I kept checking my emails every week after I applied and it was hell waiting for a response haha.

You won't get a response at least till after the applications close as everyone gets looked at etc.

I am not taking part. That's because I'm already a degree apprentice with them
I applied last year and got accepted.

What sector are you applying for?

thought it went well, All the questions were Star based questions so was bit tricky there. The games were good though and the feedback i got was good so hopefully i got to the next stage unless the feedback was just being nice to be nice

Sounds good, I wish you the best of luck as well! If you utilised STAR where you could you will have a fair chance. The feedback received was arguably the nicest part of the tests haha

You too!! 😄

Would be a great company to work with, especially if apprentices at BAE have been able to get their own place as a result!

I've done my online assessments and currently pending a response. I think we'll have to wait for a while, as according to BAE, they won't make a decision until the job ad closes and they've looked through everyone's applications. How did you find yours?

Don’t have a final “score”. But I had done the games assessment before for another firm so did reach high levels for the games.

My final report insights were all positive.

yeah the apprenticeship is really good, I setup an accommodation forum for general queries on the student room, you can find it by searching my user name, currently I'm looking for someone to house share with in my current flat because it has 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms so its kind of a no brainer to save money
