Hi everyone. I'm putting down Aberdeen University as one of my choices for UCAS for an English Literature/History degree. It's not my first choice, but definitely one I'd be fairly interested in, since I like the course, and my family has a bit of a connection to the university through my grandfather, who both loved it and spent a lot of time working there.
I've talked to my mum about it (an Aberdonian), but she worries that the student life in Aberdeen, especially in the city, might be a bit mundane compared to some of my other choices, and told me she felt a bit stuck in Aberdeen when she lived there being more disconnected from other Scottish cities. She herself did not study at Aberdeen but grew up there. Can anyone who studies Aberdeen tell me if this is the case, and if the humanities department there is good?
