Hi, I am interested in studying at Newcastle University however I live in Sunderland and have no plans to move out into student accommodation. Anyone know if it would be feasible to get from Sunderland to Newcastle with public transport, or would it take too long and I'd have to wake up very early? Thanks

as previously mentioned, the metro will get you there fine - for buses, in case the metro is off for any reason, the X24 is quicker than the 56, at 55mins vs 74mins
