I am going based on assumptions here , i guess improve communication with him, you should let know that u don't feel great in your relationship and understand why he is behaving the way he is. Also being in a relationship for the sake of not being single (ASSUMPTION) is a bit odd , u can't jump onto the next relationship and leave him behind once u find someone better.

If you already treat yourself like a princess u wont accept a guy who doesn’t add value or treats u like you treat yourself if not better, it all starts within
